The real thing.
It has been a week since I announced on this blog the name of my daughter Teri Sherri Ferry. Many of you have grown partial to the name. It has probably made it through all of both Jen's and My family circles as a topic of family conversation: "Did you hear what Johnny & Jen did to their baby?...Did they really?? Poor thing...What were they thinking??!" Then gracefully you were reluctant to confront the seriousness of the name. You accepted the partial craziness of Johnny to do something like that. You then probably questioned your faith in Jennifer? This didn't come from her...did it??
You were careful in your blog responses and telephone calls of congratulations not to snicker or question the seriousness of naming a child. Even now it brings a smile to my face to think of all the joy little Teri Sherri Ferry could have brought to the world just in her name.
In fact, it almost happened. I almost had Jen convinced. It even made it to our ward bulletin & ward web site. Up until this morning when I took the pulpit at Church, it was nearly a reality. But as I announced over-the-pulpit that there will always be a little Teri Sherri Ferry in this child, her true name will be:
Isabella Suzanne Ferry
We'll call her "Bella" or "Bella Sue".
So give it one last say out loud "Teri Sherri Ferry" and it will give you one last smile...the name that almost was!
What's in a name?
I woke up one morning several weeks ago with what I believe to be a bit of revealation. A new baby girl was on the way and it was almost Mother's Day. One mom raised me and the other raised my wife. What better way to show love, than to name my last child after them.
And so, Teri Sherri Ferry was to be her name...
...almost...

2 days in a row!
Whoa. We are posting two days in a row...This is Gib and JY in the black sea bath. They found their crayola colored bath water tablets. You are supposed to use just one tablet per bath...they used the whole container.

It was actually more of a purple color. It reminded me of purplesaurus rex koolaid...mmmm purplesaurus rex....

The 3rd

Gibson is our easiest eater. He says one of two things after he tries something new:
"That's Funtastic!"
or
"That's Disgusting!"
When I put the kids to bed at night we have our ritual of first I say "Goodnight Potato" and then Gib will answer "Goodnight Durito" and then JY will say "Goodnight Taco".
Jen will say to the kids "I love you to the moon and back" and Gib will answer "I love you to infinitity and back!"
